The Pontiac Firebird is a gorgeous all time American classic car which has produced four generations of models between 1967 and 2002. The first generation was from 1967-1969, second generation from 1970-1981, third generation from 1982-1992, and the fourth generation included 1993-2002. 2002 was the last year the Firebird was produced. Therefore, these beautiful  cars are getting more rare every day. Americans have many memories which include the firebird. Remember that  1977 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am  with the outlaw driver named Bandit. Yes, we all fell in love with the trans am from Smokey and the Bandit. How about the talking slick black trans am we all knew as Kitt. Most of us who grew up in this era longed for sporty American muscle cars like these.

  • American Tradition
  • Stylish
  • Sporty

It was an era of innocence.  It was not computer graphic classes we took in high school but welding, shop, and auto mechanics. We spent our time tuning our beloved cars. Today, we see a stylish American muscle car and it always turns our heads. No matter the condition. Is it the car we love or the memories of a time when things seemed simple. Whatever, our longing there is no greater feeling then to jump into our classic American muscle cars and hit the open roads. If only for a short time it set us free from all the worries and cares in the world.  Firebird production may have ceased in 2002 but the legend of the bird will remain an American icon for many generations to come.

Firebird is a sporty car aimed at those who like the fast lane of life. There were several different car models build over the years such as the Trans Am, Formula, Firehawk, WS6, and the base Firebird. Yes, there are many similarities between Firebirds and Camaro's but until 1982 Firebird was unique to its engine. Up until 1982, Pontiac built its own engines and only Pontiac's engines went into the Firebird car. Not one was shared with the Camaro.  1982 began the third generation firebirds and though the external look appeared very different from the camaro they had more similarities than ever before. Pontiac's engines ceased to exist. All engines would now come from GM corporate motors.

However, most of us love our Firebird's for its unique qualities. Though, many could say the car is similar to the Camaro, it has a style that uniquely stands out and is instantly recognized on the road.
